What We Do
The program focuses first on self development through the inner work of observation, text study, artistic work and learning about Rudolf Steiner’s insights into human development.
Our Organization
In 2015 we began a program of teacher development in India called Ira Learn, named for Saraswati, the goddess of learning. The program focuses first on self development through the inner work of observation, text study, and artistic work. Deepening our understanding of Rudolf Steiner’s insights into human development compliments the self-development work. Additionally, we have developed a community of teachers, doctors, parents and others who regularly work together to learn more about Waldorf Education and how it can meet all children. To create learning spaces for everyone, these sessions are available in-person and online.
Anthrophosohpy and Waldorf Education
Anthroposophic medical practice and educational Waldorf Practice are based on this understanding of nourishing human development - a holistic process that integrates physical, emotional, intellectual and spiritual growth.
Our Mission
Inspired by the program Lakshmi Prasanna, MD, created for teachers, healers, and parents in India, we initiated a workshop to bring into practice the foundational ideas of spiritual scientific inquiry. Returning to Steiner’s observation in The Roots of Education that an "inner course of development will be the correct method of training educators, and not only teachers, but those others who have so much to contribute to educational work—the doctors" continues to be a cornerstone for this way of working with Waldorf pedagogy.
“What the human being sees, what is poured into his environment becomes a force in him. In accordance with it he forms himself.”
